Well, I am all moved-in to USC; I didn't get the bed I originally wanted, but I've found that I'm actually pretty happy with my side; with pictures, posters, and whatnot, I am finding I like my side of The Box. I'll post pictures soon.

I wasn't all that crazy about my roommates originally. I mean, they're nice people, but some of them are really sort of crazy, and I don't need that kind of stuff going on in my suite with all the work I know I'm going to be doing. The first night, my roommate didn't get to bed until 7 IN THE MORNING, and last night she ended up getting sick from drinking to much and smoking (not cigarettes, if you get my drift). We finally got her into bed, but her friend was too far gone to leave, so he ended up spending the night on the floor of our room. Kinda sucks, as I was trying to go to bed early to so that I could get up to go to Disneyland today.

I am now officially a part of the BFA Technical Direction program! FRIGGIN SWEET! It took awhile to get my schedule sorted out (it's still not ready, but will be on Monday), but I'm happy now with where I am. I went to Dland with a whole bunch of production kids and met a guy that's in the TD program (one of the only people in the program), and I got to talk to a lot of upperclassmen that are already established within the program. Turns out that I might find a job in the scene shop. Pretty cool.

Note: Don't leave clothes outside the shower; they get wet and take forever to dry.

Here's all the stuff from the Comic Con schedule that I would be interested in going to. Sarah has already posted her list (and I think a few of her choices are good, too), so if anyone else is interested in any of the stuff we've posted, drop a note or something. Yeah.

Graduation is close, and...
Tags: grad, travel

If you were me, what would you want as a graduation present? My parents have already said that they are going to swap out my desktop computer for a laptop, so I don't have to worry about that, but they've also said that they want to get me something else.

I've sort of been thinking about a trip (for me and another person sans parentals), but I don't know where I would want to go. Which brings me to my second question: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? It would probably be smart to go to someplace I've already been so that I'm familiar with the area, but a somewhere new would be cool too.

Other than that, I'm out of ideas. I was thinking about maybe a new camera (like Mel's rebel), but I don't have any other ideas. Got any suggestions?

Wow, I haven't updated in awhile. Life has been sort of hectic lately; I either have too much or too little to say to post anything. I'll give a brief overview here, so if anyone is interested, they can read.

I've been getting migraines much more frequently, and I sort of have a constant headache that just doesn't seem to go away. It's not overly painful, but it's annoying and there's still some pain involved. I guess I'll just have to deal with them, because a) I don't want to get addicted to pain meds and b) my prescription migraine medication is way too expensive to be taken frequently.

AP classes are eating my soul. In fact, I think it may have already been completely devoured.

I have submitted my intent to register at USC (and I don't want to hear anyone's crap about it). I'm hoping to transfer into the BA in theater program, and, hopefully, to transfer into the BFA in theater program next year.

I need more party time.

Things have been...complicated. Details will not follow.

I have been having parental problems. I'll try not to involve anyone else, but if it gets any worse, I may be taking shelter at someone's house.

If I sound bitter, angry, or depressed, it's because I sort of am. But know that it's not anyone's fault, so please don't be offended. Stress is getting to me, and with everything that's going on in my life, I'm just trying to get through stuff one day at a time. Please, bear with me until I can get it all sorted out. And I may not say it enough, but thank you to everyone who has helped me through and put up with my personal problems these past few weeks; you know who you are, and you have no idea how grateful I am. I love you all.

One Day of Christmas

Ok, so it's a little late to do Kaitlyn's Twelves Days of Christmas, but I thought I'd do Kaitlyn's One Day of Christmas instead.

I've uploaded songs for you to download; they vary in genre and length, so you'll have to pick and choose, or, better yet, just download them all! Oh, and if you find something that you particularly like, drop a note so that I know what I should upload more of.

The Lion King (musical) - Shadow Land
Arid - Little Things of Venom
Mat Kearney - All I Need
Blue Öyster Cult - (Don't Fear) The Reaper
Imogen Heap - Hallelujah
North & South OST - I've Seen Hell
Panic! At The Disco - Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off

What the hell is up with Kansas?

Ok, yeah, it sounds stupid, because Kansas is more or less a nothing state. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against it, it just doesn't really....do anything. It's just Kansas. Yet, it still has a whole string of weird/awesomeness stuck to it, and I don't know what to make of it all. Please observe:

Exhibit A. Kansas farming couple find alien baby encased in a rocket in nearby field. As child grows, he exhibits odd qualities supposedly classified as "super."

Exhibit B. Freak tornado picks up girl and house from Kansas countryside. It's a witch of a tale.

Exhibit C. Brothers witness unexplained death of mother, later disappearing on suspicious "hunting trips." Sounds rather supernatural to me.

Exhibit D. Small town of Jericho undergoes wave of atomic activity. Stay tuned for premiere of more info.

So, I ask again, what the hell is up with Kansas?

Ok, you can all stop laughing at my lame attempt to make a joke. >P

Here comes the cavalry...

I need some writing practice, and since I like the idea of this sort of thing, let's have a little fun:

Give me a pairing/fandom and a theme/couple of specific words, and I'll write you a drabble in 150 words or less (because I'm not good enough to stick to just 100). Oh, if you give me words, I can pick whichever one(s) I want to use. Just so you know.

Does anyone want to come pick up trash with me at the Bolsa Chica wetlands this weekend? I know they have monthly pick-up days on Saturdays, but I sort of want to go on my own with some friends; it seems more personal that way.

And, good lord, I need Tivo. Fast.

Does anyone know how to capture embedded music files off of a site? I mean, when you go to some sites, you can choose music to play (usually using a Flash player), and you are able to stop and start the song at will. Is there any way you can record or capture those types of sound files off of sites? I found this really great dance mix that is absolutely entrancing, but I can't figure out a way to get it saved to my computer...

Long live the Archimedes. May you survive long enough to see the mighty waters of the Marina pool and be brave enough to make it across. That goes for you too, Sarah.

Fandom love

For the people going to the Renaissance Faire, you need to pay me $16.00 by or on May 13th (no money = no ride to the faire). We'll probably meet at my house around 8 AM and then load into the van and trek to Irwindale. If you need a costume, I will be going a week and a half from now after all my AP tests are over to rent one; I'll post the date and the time in case anyone is interested in going with me.

Tell me of a fandom you know I know of and I'll tell you:

01. The first character I first fell in love with
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't
04. The character I love that everyone else hates
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer
06. The character I would shag anytime
07. The character I'd want to be like
08. The character I'd slap
09. A pairing that I love
10. A pairing that I despise

Name as many fandoms as you want, but be warned, I'm sort of weird (although you all should be aware of that by now), so you may get some strange answers. And if you want me to explain an answer I'll do so truthfully.
